August 23, 2019; Couples For Christ (CFC) in the Diocese of Shimoga formed. From the last eight months efforts in forming of Couples For Christ in the Diocese yielded fruit today. Five couples from the Diocese of Shimoga made their commitment through covenant at Infant Jesus Church, Sharavatinagar. CFC Director Fr Franklin D'Souza together with Fr Stephen Albuquerque offered the Holy Eucharist and spoke on the CFC is the need of the hour today. He told them the mission given by the Lord Jesus Christ is to be continued. Diocese is making every effort to empower laity in this regard. Fr Franklin D'Souza thanked Diocesan Bishop Francis Serrao Sj for his constant encouragement and support.

CFC from Bangalore constantly supported in forming it in the Diocese of Shimoga. Fr Stephen Albuquerque played a great role in forming CFC in the Diocese. He told that in every service there will be doubts, humiliation and misunderstandings. But he told them be strong in prayer and look at Jesus and do your service.
