March 28, 2013 : March 26th Madras –Mylapore Diocese celebrated the “Sanctification Day”at Archdiocesan Patoral Centre-Chennai. Fr. Franklin D’Souza, Secretary, CBCI Office for Youth –ICYM from New Delhi guided the recollection. In his First talk at 10am he spoke on Luke 5:1-11; the Call of Simon and our call. In the second session at 11.15am he explained Mathew 18:21-35; where he stressed on Sacrament of reconciliation and forgiveness in our ministry as well as personal life. Confessions were organized from 12pm onwards.
Evening at 4.30pm Holy Hour was organized at Santhome Cathedral. Fr. Franklin led the Holy Hour. After which Most Rev. George Anthonysamy, Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore concelebrated the Chrism Mass with the priests and religious of his diocese. A large number of faithful, clergy & religious witnessed this moment of grace. Vicar General thanked everyone also jubilarinas were honored by the Archbishop. Fr Franklin was thanked by V.G. for helping the clergy in the recollection.
