February 7th & 8th, 2015: Fr. Franklin D’Souza preached a retreat at Annai Velankanni Shrine at Besant Nagar, Chennai. Retreat began at 9.30 am with Praise and Worship led by Mr. Bunty and team. Shrine Rector as well as Parish Priest Fr. Francis welcomed Fr. Franklin D’Souza. There were two sessions in the morning on Thanking God and its benefits (Habakuk 3:16-17) and Giving glory to God in our body (1 Cor 3:16-17). After the lunch session was on "don’t worry; how to defeat fear by seeking first Kingdom values (Mathew 6:25 -34)". At 3 pm Fr. Franklin offered mass and preached on physical blindness and spiritual blindness (Luke 18:35 – 19:10). Retreat concluded with healing adoration.
On 8th Sunday Fr. Franklin offered mass at Shrine for the faithful at 7.45am and preached on ‘Jesus fixed everything back’. Retreat began at 10am Mr. Bunty led the Praise and Worship at 10. 30 Fr. Franklin took session on “Loving God by following His commandments”. He specially touched on fourth commandment ‘honour your father and mother’ (Ex. 20:12). He offered Holy Mass and conducted anointing adoration for Youth, Couples and for children retreat concluded at 1.30pm. Fr. Francis thanked Fr. Franklin D’souza for preaching retreat, Bro. Bunty for Praise and Worship, and Bro. Jeevan, Bro. Henry & Sis. Bindu for organising the retreat.
