Konkani Community of St. Anthony Church – Sohar, Oman celebrated Monti Fest 2013 (Nativity of Mother Mary) on September 12th 2013. At 8.30pm Fr. Franklin D’Souza, ICYM National Youth Director from CBCI Delhi, celebrated the Holy Mass of the feast. Fr Franklin conducted the Novena. Children showered the flowers to Infant Mary, near the grotto. Fr Franklin preached a heart touching homily. He narrated the role of Mother Mary in the salvation history as well as her power of intercession. He also enumerated her qualities of obedience, surrender and Trust in the Word of God. Mr. Richard organised this feast in a traditional way. There was cultural program as well as family meal. Fr. Johnson Parish Priest welcomed Fr. Franklin and thanked him.
