Jan. 15, 2018: Diocese of Shimoga celebrated one of its Priest's Golden Jubilee on January 15th. Fr. Clement D'Souza who completed recently Platinum birthday, celebrated his Golden Jubilee of Ordination. On 15th under the guidance of Bishop Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga organized thanks giving Holy Eucharist at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shimoga. Mass began at 10:30 a.m. Fr Clement Dsouza jubilarian thanked God with the Diocesan clergy as well as people of God. Fr Franklin D'Souza preached a meaningful homily.
After the Mass a short felicitation function was organized at Snehasadan hall. Monsignor Felix Noronha welcomed the gathering. Bishop Francis Serrao SJ felicitated jubilarian Fr. Clement Dsouza and appreciated his services in the vineyard of the Lord. Parish Priest of Cathedral Fr. Gilbert Lobo thanked everyone. Fr. Roman Pinto compered the program. Good number of priests from the Diocese of Chickmagalur were present together with Vicar General Fr. Shantraj. Former VG of Chickmagalur Fr George Dsouza led the prayer before the meals.
