12th October, Jalandhar, Punjab: His Excellency Archbishop Salvatore Pennachhio, the Apostolic Nuncio to India & Nepal celebrated the Concluding Day Holy Mass of the IX National Youth Convention on 12th October 2013 here in Jalandhar, Punjab.

After the Peace Rally in the Morning, the delegates gathered for the Holy Mass officiated by His Excellency Archbishop Salvatore Pennachhio, the Papal Representative to India & Nepal , concelebrated by more than 150 Priests.

His ExcellencyArchbishop Salvatore Pennachhio, in his Homily said, “I appreciate all of you for your faith witness. I am so happy to see so many youth from all over India. I want to advice you, dear young friends, do not close your heart – God wants to dwell in your heart. You are the instrument of God. Allow God to use you as His instrument for His cause. As Jesus told his Apostles, you too must go back and proclaim the Gospel.” He also told the youth not to be afraid of witnessing to the Faith, because, “God is with you. Go, proclaim Him and serve Him. May Mother May always intercede for you.” He also congratulated Fr. Franklin and all the members of the organizing committee of the Convention.

The Prayers of the Faithful was in all major languages of India and it was an example of the rich and multiple cultures that India has.

Many faithful of the Diocese of Jalandhar also participated in the solemn Eucharistic Celebration.
