August 15, 2021 : Assumption School, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District celebrated 75th Independence Day.

Program began at 7:15am. Correspondent Fr Franklin D'Souza hoisted the flag. In his speech he told that we should build ourselves on love. Only love can transform the humanity. Real freedom we experience when we truly love one another. He told that where there is true love there true sacrifice. Freedom fighters had true love for our country. He also brought out today's scenario and he told that we need not lose hope. Let all of us work unitedly for the betterment of the society. He also prayed for the eradication of present Pandemic.

Assumption English High School HM Fr Alphonse Nelson D'Souza, Assumption Kannada High School HM Mr. Henry Crasta, Assumption English Primary School HM Sr. Succorina Lorenzo and Assumption Kannada Primary School HM Sr. Alwyn Alphonse were on the Dais.

Each section sang a patriotic song.

Teacher Shoba Compered the program and Teacher Lakshmi Devi thanked the dignitaries.
