Bengaluru, Logos, April 16, 2023 : Logos Retreat centre, Bengaluru, under the leadership of its Director Rev. Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC held Divine Mercy Novena, Convention and Healing Service from April 7th to 16th.

From April 7th to 13th, Divine Mercy Chaplet and healing session was held from 2:00pm to 5pm. On April 14th Divine Mercy Convention and Healing Service was held in Kannada from morning 9am to 5:30pm.

On April 15th & 16th Divine Mercy Convention and Healing Service was held from 9:30am to 5:30pm.

On the invitation of Logos Retreat centre Director Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC, Fr Franklin D'Souza from the Diocese of Shimoga preached in the Convention.

On April 15th program began at 9:30am with Praise and Worship. At 10am Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on "He heals the broken hearted & binds up their wounds" salm 147:3. He explained how does he experienced the mercy of God. He spoke also on how does leper experienced the mercy of God (Mark 1:40-42).

At 11am Rev. Fr Kandathinkara VC, Superior General of Vincentians blessed the renovated Logos Retreat Hall. Rev. Fr George Vettaparambil VC, Regional Superior was present. Rev. Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC led the prayer of Consecration to the Divine Mercy of God.

At 11:30am Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC led the Divine Mercy Chaplet as well as Jericho March and Fr Varghese Thomas VC helped in the adoration. At 12pm Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on "How Simon Peter experienced the mercy of God" He based his Preaching on Luke 5:1-11.

After the lunch break at 2pm Praise and Worship was led. There were testimonials. At 3pm Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC led the Healing adoration together with Divine Mercy Chaplet. At 4pm . Fr Kandathinkara VC, Superior General of Vincentians celebrated the Holy Eucharist.

On April 16th was the festal day of Divine Mercy. Program began at 9:30am with Praise and Worship. Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC led the Divine Mercy Chaplet. At 10:30am Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on "How David obtained mercy from God, How did he lose it and how God restores him with his merciful love". He based his Preaching on 1 Samuel 16:1-13.
He connected his Preaching to Sacrament of Reconciliation.

At 11:30am Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC led the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Jericho March. Fr Varghese Thomas VC helped in the procession.

At 12pm Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on "Experiencing God's mercy through Forgiveness". He based his Preaching on Luke 23:26-43.

After the lunch break at 2pm Praise and Worship was led. There were testimonials. At 2:45pm on behalf of Logos Retreat centre thanked Fr Franklin D'Souza, Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC, Fr Varghese Thomas VC and all those who worked for the success of the Divine Mercy Convention.

At 3pm Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC led the Healing adoration together with Divine Mercy Chaplet. Fr Franklin D'Souza helped in the healing adoration.

At 4pm His Grace Most Rev. Dr Peter Machado Archbishop of Archdiocese of Bangalore celebrated the festal Holy Eucharist together with nine Priests. In his homily he stressed on the need to experience the mercy of God and transform our lives according to his way.

Rev. Fr George Vettaparambil VC, Regional Superior welcomed the Archbishop and Logos Retreat centre Director Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC thanked the Bishop.
