Moodbidre, March 6, 2024: Fr Franklin D’Souza preached three days Lenten Retreat at Holy Spirit Church, Sampige, Moodbidre, Diocese of Mangalore.

Retreat began on March 3rd and concluded on March 5th. Timing of the retreat was 3:30pm to 7:30pm. Bro. William D'Souza from Bela, helped in the music ministry.

Rev. Fr Vincent D'Souza Parish Priest of Holy Spirit Church, Sampige welcomed the retreat team.

Day 1, Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on "Season of Lent invites us to set right our Conscience". He based his teaching on Mark 6:13-29. For the healing adoration he spoke on John 5:1-14. Retreat concluded with the Holy Eucharist.

On Day 2, Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on "Sin Repentance and Reconciliation". He based his teaching on Psalm 32:1-8. He prepared Faithful for the Confessions. During the healing adoration he spoke on Luke 5:17-32 healing of the Paralytic. Retreat concluded with the Holy Eucharist.

On the final day retreat began at 3:30pm. At 4pm Fr Franklin D'Souza prepared faithful for Confessions. From 4:30pm to 5:30pm Confessions were organised. Five priests helped the faithful in the confessional. Blessed Sacrament was exposed during the Confessions. From 5:30pm onwards Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on "Forgiveness, Eucharist and Inner healing". He prayed for the faithful. He also led Infilling of the Holy Spirit session. Retreat concluded with the Holy Eucharist.

Parish Priest Fr Vincent D'Souza thanked Fr Franklin D’Souza and Bro. William D'Souza for the inspiring retreat. He also thanked faithful for attending the retreat.
