Nov 12, 2017: Final day of PAVITRATHMA ABHISHEKOTSAVA 2017 concluded with a Mighty anointing of the Holy Spirit at Rosario Cathedral grounds, Mangalore.
At 3:30 p.m. Fr. Andrew D'Souza, Bro. T. K. George and Bro. Rony (Music) led the Praise and Worship. At 4:15 p.m. Fr. Franklin D'Souza gave a talk on "Mother Mary, Called by God our Model". Then Bishop Lawrence spoke on "Power of the Holy Spirit". Archbishop Bernard Moras released the Souvenir and to mark the 50th year of Golden celebration of Catholic Charismatic Renewal in India let 50 Vatican coloured (white and yellow) baloons. Bishop Lawrence (Spiritual advisor of KCCRS), Bishop Jerald Isaac Lobo of Udupi, Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore graced the vocation.
Then thanksgiving Eucharist was celebrated by Archbishop Bernard Moras (President of Karnataka Regional Bishops Conference) together with other Bishops and priests. After the Holy Mass Logos Retreat Centre Director Fr. Jose Vettiyankal led the anointing service. Fr. Franklin D'Souza helped in translation to Kannada. There was a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the 20000 faithful gathered. Spiritual director of Mangalore Diocesan Charismatic Renewal Fr. Melwyn thanked everyone. He specially thanked Bishop of Mangalore, organising committee head Fr. Onil D'Souza and MST Chairman Mr. Arun Lobo. It was a prayerful event led by the Holy Spirit. Service team members of 14 dioceses, Specially Karnataka Regional Service Team together with host diocesan service team as well as with volunteers did an excellent service to mark this golden jubilee events. I am blessed by God to see and experience and help in this historical event.
