Sept 8, 2013 : Rev.Fr. Franklin D’Souza, Secretary for CBCI Office for Youth and the ICYM National Youth Director conducted nine days novena for the Nativity Feast of Konkani Community of Ruwi, Muscat. Novena began on August 30th at 8.30PM Fr. Franklin celebrated Holy Mass and preached the Word of God. After the mass children showered the flowers for infant Mary. Preaching of Fr. Franklin was the high light of the whole novena. Fr. Franklin really touched the hearts of the people. He invited people to respond the call given by God in family life, youth life also in the place you are working in. He told that we should not be ashamed of the Gospel of Lord Jesus. We should come out of the sin and live in holiness which brings real peace in life.

• Look at Jesus and be radiant (Psalm34:5) – Luke 8:40-52
• He heals the broken hearted (Psalm 143:3) – John 5:1-14
• He sent his word and healed them (Psalm 107:20) – Luke 14,1, 7-14

• Do whatever He tells you(John 2:5) – John 2:1-11
• Go and bring your husband (John 4:16) – John 4:1-16
• Work for the food that endures for eternal life (John 6:27) – John 6: 24-40

• When spirit of truth comes, he will guide you to all truth (John 16:13) – Luke 1:26-38
• Honour your father & mother; as you love & Honour Infant Mary (Exodus 12:20) – Mt 1:1-25

Fr. Wilson Rumao, Asst. Pastor of Ruwi also Incharge for Konkani Community thanked Fr. Franklin for his heart touching preaching. He also thanked Fr. Franklin for helping in parish during his stay & especially he thanked for his talk for young people as well as his Holy Masses for the youth. Konkani community on September 10th organised thanks giving meeting. Every one expressed that they are touched by the Word of God. Fr. Franklin thanked Fr. Wilson Rumao, Mr. Clarence, Ms. Monica and Mr. Henry G. Martis & the community who made his stay memorable one.
