December 10, 2021 : AKUCFHR, Chitradurga Zone celebrated Human Rights Day today at 5 pm at Don Bosco, Chitradurga.

Programme began with Invoking of the Holy Spirit by Bro. Jaison SDB. Rev. Pastor M.S.Raju welcomed the participating Priests, Pastors as well as religious sisters. Then he spoke introductory words.

Pastor Bhiji read the Word of God. Pastor Paul Khude together with the senior pastors led the prayer for human rights.  

Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, made known the importance of the day with John 16:1-4. In his speech he said that in the storm of life there is Purpose of God, Power of God and Presence of God. Jesus is with us in all our troubles. We have to stand for Justice and Truth through our love and prayer. He made the participants understand why we have to stand for human rights. He narrated the example of Late President Mr. Nelson Mandela by saying how he was determined to make his dream come true. "We need to get inspiration and need to inspire others. We can't be like fundamentalists. We should never instigate others. We should be led by the Holy Spirit", concluded Fr Franklin.

Then the discussion took place on joint Christmas celebration, Unity Octave Prayer to be held from January 18-25, 2022 and United Christian Forum for Human Rights membership and office bearers. This was led by Rev. Fr Shaji SDB.

Then the Unity Octave Prayer format and UCF memorandum were distributed.

Holy Family Deanery Dean Rev. Fr George K A was present for this meeting.
