August 15, 2022: Platinum Jubilee of Independence day celebrated at Assumption School, Hiriyur, Chitradurga district, Diocese of Shimoga.

Program was organised at 7:15am at Assumption School premises. Correspondent and manager Fr Franklin D'Souza hoisted the National Flag. 26th ward Counsellor Mrs. Madala Mariya, Fr Alphonse Nelson D'Souza - HM of Assumption English Medium High School, Mr. Henry Crasta - HM of Assumption Kannada medium High School, Sr. Martha SAB - HM of Assumption English Medium Primary School and Sr. Alphonse - HM of Assumption Kannada Medium Primary School were present.

Cultural programs were organised to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of Independence day.

In his message Fr Franklin D'Souza thanked God for the blessings that he has showered on our nation for last 75years. He invited children to draw inspiration from the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters. He also invoked blessings of almighty on the institution. In his message Fr Nelson D'Souza invited students to develop human qualities and service mindedness.

Sir Prabhakar welcomed the gathering and Ms. Veronica thanked the guests and all those who were gathered.
