Christmas celebration at Ashok Siddapura, at Molakalmuru Taluk, Diocese of Shimoga

Molakalmuru, December 26, 2022: Ashok Siddapura Catholic faithful celebrated Christmas on December 26th in their village. On 25th they came to the Main Parish at Molakalmuru. It is the tradition of the faithful that on 26th they celebrate Christmas in their village. Ashok Siddapura is a substation of St. Joseph Vaz Church, Molakalmuru, Diocese of Shimoga.

Assistant Mission Director Fr Arokia welcomed Fr Franklin D'Souza, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District. Then he led the healing Adoration from 10:30am to 12:30pm. He prayed for the people.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At 12:30pm he celebrated festal Mass together with Fr Arokia and Fr Sudeep Paul George. In his homily Fr Franklin D'Souza explained about the Salvation offered by God to the humanity. It's a free gift by God. He explained the meaning of Immanuel and how it applies to our lives.

Sr. Sheela Miranda UFS thanked Fr Franklin D’Souza for his valuable time to lead the Adoration intercessory prayers.

Food was served for all the faithful as well as people of the village. Mission Director Fr Stany D'Cunha together with Fr Arokia organised this spiritual event.
