Chitradurga, Hiriyur January 15, 2023: Parish Priest Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza held the meeting of girls and women at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga on January 15th at 5pm. Meeting began with Divine Mercy Rosary.
Since year 2023 in the Diocese of Shimoga declared as year of "Woman and Girl Child", in that view this meeting was called to plan for the year.
From the Girls group; Sushma J. P, Stephy Melanie, Joyce Venila, Jivita, Anisha Josephine and Anannya Maria were the members of coordination committee.
From the Women; Magdala Maria, Christy Jonita, Monica, Manjula Joseph, Madhura, Stella Mary, Margaret Sheela, Smitha, Leena and Savita were selected as the members of coordination committee.
Election for the women Association were held at the same time.

Members gave very important suggestion for the empowerment of the women and girl child of the Parish.
Meeting concluded at 6pm with the blessings of the Parish Priest.
