Chitradurga, Hiriyur May 27, 2023 : Management of Assumption School organised one day Teachers Orientation program at Assumption School, Hiriyur.

Msgr Jayanathan, Vicar General of Archdiocese of Bangalore led the Orientation program.

Fr Nelson D'Souza led the prayer and the Manager Fr Franklin D'Souza welcomed Monsignor Jayanathan. Time table of the program as below:

11.25am Second Session

2.00pm Third Session
3.15pm (Break) optional
3.25pm Fourth session
5.00pm Evaluation

He spoke on challenges that teachers face in teaching the students. He spoke on these 12 challenges;

1. Professional qualification/Status :
2. Lack of Planning Time
3. Non Teaching Tasks
4. Inefficient Professional Training
5. Challenges in the classroom
6. Work-Life Balance
7. Lack of Clarity about career growth
8. Lack of creativity
9. Lack of collaboration
10. No sufficient technical Knowledge
11. Lack of motivation
12. No continuity... No Up-Gradation

For the group discussions he gave five questions.
1. How to make our teaching_learning more effective?
2. Give five practical suggestions to motivate our children to study well.
3. Suggest six action plans to inculcate Discipline and Moral Values in our children and youth.
4. What are the five stumbling blocks for the interpersonal relationship & how to overcome them.
5. Any suggestions to the management?

Teachers were sent in groups. Resource person held group discussion with Manager and HMs.

Reports were presented and he will help out to draw the action plan from the report.

After lunch he spoke on creativity.

He also spoke on four segments I.e.,
1. Teachers Students relationship
2. Teachers Parents relationship
3. Teachers Teachers relationship
4. Teachers relationship with Management

He also enlightened staff on seven types of Intelligence.

His sessions were useful and inspiring.

At the end Fr Nelson D'Souza thanked the resource person. Mr. Janardhan thanked Management and resource person on behalf of all teachers.
