August 13, 2023: Fr Roman Pinto, Parish Priest of St. Francis Xavier's Church, Kable, preached three days retreat at Our Lady of Assumption Church Hiriyur, Chitradurga District as Preparation for their annual feast.
Retreat began on August 11th Friday at 5:45pm with Rosary. Then Fr Franklin D'Souza led the Praise and Worship and welcomed Fr Roman Pinto. At 6:30pm Fr Roman Pinto preached on "You are the Salt of the earth"(Mathew 5:12). At 7:30pm He celebrated Holy Eucharist and at 8:30 he led healing adoration.
On Saturday 12th retreat was from 5:45pm to 9pm. Topic Fr Roman dealt was "who can be saved?". Also during ma's he spoke on importance of the Cross and Salvation. 8:30pm he led the healing adoration.

On Sunday 13th retreat began at 7:30am ended at 1pm. Rosary was at 7:30am. 8am Praise and Worship led by Fr Roman Pinto. Then 8:30am he celebrated Holy Eucharist. He preached homily on "Importance of Sacrament of Reconciliation". After the mass he prepared faithful for Confession. At 11am confessions were organised. At 12:15pm he led the anointing of the Holy Spirit session. Retreat concluded at 1pm.
Parish Priest Fr Franklin D’Souza thanked Fr Roman Pinto for helping his parishioners. Assistant Parish Priest Fr Alphonse Nelson D'Souza honoured Fr Roman Pinto on behalf of the Parish.
Lunch was served for all.
Flag hoisting will be on August 15th 6pm. Annual feast of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District will be celebrated on August 18th 10am by Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Shimoga.
