December 23, 2023: Assumption School, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga, celebrated Christmas and New Year at School grounds. Program bega at 8am.

Manager and Corresspondent Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza was the Chief guest. HMs Fr Nelson D'Souza - AEHS, Sr. Veronica - AKHPS, Sr. Martha - AEHPS and Mr. Henry Crasta - AKHS, were on the Dais. Amulya and Co., from Assumption Kannada High School led the Prayer. Ms. Divya from AEHPS welcomed the guests.

Various programs related to the message of peace and love were presented by the students through dance. Prakrati & Co. AKHPS, Shreya & Co. AEHPS, Varshitha & Co. AEHPS, Abhinaya & Co. AKHPS, Manjushri & Co. AKHS, Punith &Co. AEHPS, Manyashri & Co. AKHS, Kubra & Co. AEHPS, Malar & Co. AKHS, Vinutha & Co. AEHS, Presented Christmas Message through the dance.

Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza in his message explained the real meaning of Chrstmas. He said Christmas is not only decorations, star, Christmas Tree, Christmas Candles, Christmas cake and sweets. Christmas is God's outpouring love on the sinful humanity. Merciful God who created us wanted to save us from our sins. That's why He sent His only Son Jesus for our sake. He was born in utter poverty. He is always there for us to save us. He came for all. All of us should become gift for one another in love, mercy, Forgiveness and through selfless service.

He invited all to build a society of peace, love and brotherhood. Then he prayed for the students, staff and everyone and blessed them.
