Chitradurga, Hiriyur, February 11, 2023 : Grotto feast of Our Lady of Lourdes celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Church Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga.

At 6:30pm Fr Franklin D'Souza, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur blessed the Chariot of Blessed Virgin Mary. Then he led the Rosary procession. After the litany Fr Franklin D'Souza led healing prayer for the faithful gathered.

Ar 7pm Fr Franklin D'Souza celebrated the Holy Eucharist in the Grotto and preached a homily on "Compassion and healing" based on Sixth Sunday's Gospel. He prayed a healing prayer after the homily.

At the end of the Mass he thanked everyone who helped to make thefeast a successful one. Meals was served for everyone gathered by the Parishioners.
