Testimony by Mrs. Divya from Kuwiat about her husband Mr. Francis Deepak Saldanha how Jesus brought back her husband from death bed to life:
22 days journey of my life
On the 4th of February I was at work and it seemed to be just another day when suddenly, around 3p.m in the afternoon I got a call from my husband's friend saying that my husband complained of severe stomach pain and threw up a few times and they were on their way to the hospital. We rushed to the hospital too, not knowing what was to come.
After a few hours of observation the doctors couldn’t conclude on a cause to the problem and suggested hospitalization for the next 48 hours. The doctors started doing all the possible tests and on 6th February the doctors did a C.T. scan which suggested that my husband had a severe case of "pancreatitis"(pancreas disorder).The doctors explained that the root cause for this was excessive consumption of alcohol, but my husband is not an alcoholic. His pancreas was damaged and all the fluid from it had spread to other internal organs (near kidneys, lungs, etc). After the C.T. scan he had trouble breathing and the doctors immediately put him on breadth assist. While doctors kept suggesting that all hope wasn’t lost, they suggested the importance of prayers in this troubled situation. During these grave moments my family and friends acted as a pillar of strength supporting and guiding me whenever required. The next day 7th February, we visited the doctor hoping for the slightest sign of improvement but what we got in return wasn’t anything we were expecting. The doctors said the situation was deteriorating and my husband’s chances for survival were minimal. This statement by the doctor was like a dagger that pierced through my heart, I broke down into tears not knowing what to expect.
I have 2 daughters (a 12 year old and a 9 year old) to whom I just could not convey the message to. Every time I would think of breaking the news to them, I just fell short of words. I informed my relative’s friends and colleagues of the situation who shared the same grief that I did. They kept my husband in their prayers. The doctors from the private hospital advised us to shift Francis Deepak to the government hospital as they feared they did not have what it takes to do justice for the treatment in this situation. Relatives and friends arranged for everything to have him shifted with no delay at all. I was with him in the ambulance, as I gazed into his eyes I could see the fear that was building up in him, it was then that I realized that my strength is his strength. A few words of courage I whispered into his ear just to tell him that I was with him at every phase in life be it good or bad.
Once the diagnosis was done in the Government hospital they advised for him to be shifted to the ICU, I could feel a chill run down my spine fearing the worst yet hoping for the best. The doctors were blunt and honest and showed me the picture as it actually was. They made a prediction of my husband being hospitalized for a couple of months minimum. The constant prayers of my family and friends soon spread to prayer groups and churches. I made a personal request to the Nuns from Carmel School Kuwait too. The priests and nuns from the Kuwait Parish came and prayed for him in the ICU. News spread to all well wishers who may have numbered in thousands praying for the speedy recovery of my husband. To be honest, even in this troubled situation where I may have been at the darkest point of the tunnel I could see this vague light at the end of it.
At once I was reminded of Fr. Franklin; I called him up, and at that time he was in Kerala for CBCI Plenary Assembly. I explained to him everything crying the entire time, he told me to close my eyes and he prayed over me. He used these words “Jesus you are the healer heal Deepak and wipe tears of this daughter Divya, this is not the age of his death, you are life and bring back to him to life”. He prayed with Exodus 23:25, Wisdom 16:12, Isaiah 41:10, 54:17, Jeremiah 29:11-13, Psalm 173:3, John 10:10, Mathew 7:7 also mentioned some healings of Bible by Jesus John 5:1-14, Luke 8:40-52, john 11:1- 42. He claimed healing, anointing and deliverance over me and my family. He advised me to strengthen my faith in Jesus and not question it no matter what! He also proposed some Bible passages to read. I don’t how to explain this but it was this overwhelming sense of security that got a hold of me. This was when I just gazed at the altar and said, “My husband’s life is in your hands; let your will be done”. This brought me to realize that when you pray to the Lord for strength, he does not bless you with absolute power rather he gives you a chance to test it. This was my test. Through this test I came to know the Power of the Word of God. When i called Fr. Franklin I told him Jesus has shown me the power of the Bible.
I would go meet my husband in the ICU twice a day, due to IV fluid his body was swollen and he was under sedation and on the ventilator. The treatment was great. This one time, I was with him in the ICU. Just sitting beside him and I could feel the presence of Jesus because though times were difficult all the fear in me was driven away.
The very next day we met the doctor and he told us that Francis Deepak is recovering and he is responding to the medication well. I spread the word to each and every person that prayed for him. Through this phase in my life I have realized that God only strengthens your faith in him. Everyday doctors informed us of his recovery and our kids came to see him too on Valentine’s Day and our wedding anniversary. On 21st Feb 2014 I got a call from the hospital saying that my husband is conscious and they called me to see him. I was nervous but at the same time I was happy, I didn’t know how to react. I entered the hospital completely nervous, I saw him with teary eyes and my husband was looking at me like I was a stranger for 2 to 3 minutes, then he recognized me and called me by my name, I ran and hugged him, but he had just come out from sedation and he was trying to recollect his memory, I started talking to him and tried to remind him certain things. Doctors told us that he might take time to recollect his memory may be 48 to 72 hours, and he started recollecting his memory slowly. On the 23rd Feb 2014 he was shifted to the general ward, “Praise the Lord” all the Doctors and Nurses were surprised at the pace of his recovery, and when I spoke to thank them, they all started telling me that it’s a big miracle. “Yes it was really a big Miracle” for our family. In the beginning doctors said that he will take months to recover and now due to the power of prayers my husband was out of the ICU within 14 days. “Alleluia”. I came to know if we have faith in Jesus everything will be easy in life. Francis was discharged on 27th Feb 2014 and now he is gone to India for further treatment. These 22 days of my life have been a phase that I will never forget.
I am really thankful to all our relatives for everything, especially our family, our friends, neighbors and all of our colleagues who have helped me. I also thank all the prayer groups who day and night prayed for my husband.
Special thanks to Fr. Franklin for opening my eyes through the Word of God. I came to know the power of the Bible. He told me one chapter a day change entire chapter of your life. He constantly sent me Bible Verses and told me that Francis Deepak will come back in Jesus Name. He told me Jesus is alive. He will surely heal my husband. He also prayed from Delhi over the Mobile when my husband was in ventilator. Even though he was in sedation after he was shifted to the ward He told he remembers someone prayed for him. Praise the Lord! I thank Jesus for Fr. Franklin through him He strengthened my faith.

I endorse this testimony is true. I thank Jesus for hearing the prayers of many. When I went thrice to Kuwait to visit my sister (sister was unable to get visa for me) without knowing me Francis Deepak gave me visa. Those days of my stay there Lord Jesus touched many people through prayers and Holy Mass at Kuwait. When Divya called me it was a shock for me. I prayed to Jesus saying ‘Jesus you have promised if any one gives a glass of water to your prophets/servants you have promised that you will reward them. Now please bless this family, without knowing me they loved your servant and gave the visa for your work’. I asked my prayer team people to pray. I thank Jesus for healing Francis Deepak. As we upload this testimony it is only to glorify Jesus. He will never let us down when we sincerely cry unto him through his Word and intercession prayers. I thank Divya for her faith in Lord Jesus.
