Udupi, March 13, 2024 : Our Lady of Fatima Church, Pernal, Diocese of Udupi, organised three days Lenten Retreat from March 11th to 13th, 2024. Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza led the retreat. Bro. William D'Souza led the music ministry. Retreat timing was from 2:30pm to 6pm.

Parish Priest Rev. Fr Jerome Monteiro welcomed Fr Franklin D'Souza and Bro. William D'Souza. Resident Priest Rev. Fr Paschal Menezes was present.

On March 11th retreat began at 2:30pm with Praise and Worship led by Bro. William D'Souza. Then at 3:30pm Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on "Season of Lent invites us to set right our Conscience". He based his teaching on Mark 6:14 -29. At 4:30pm he led thd healing adoration based his preaching on Exodus 23:25-27. 5:30pm was the Holy Eucharist. Fr Jerome Monteiro and Fr Paschal Menezes concelebrated with Fr Franklin D'Souza.

On March 12th the theme was "Forgiveness and Eucharist" he based his teaching on Mathew 18:21-35. Then he led the healing service based on Mark 2:1-11, Jesus heals the Paralytic. Retreat concluded with Holy Eucharist.

On 13th March day of Reconciliation. Fr Franklin D'Souza prepared faithful for the Confessions he based his teaching on Psalm 32:1-7. From 4pm to 5pm 8 priests helped in the confessional. Blessed Sacrament was exposed during this time. At 5pm Fr Franklin D'Souza led the anointing prayer. Then he concluded retreat with the Holy Eucharist. Fr Dixon SDB, Fr Paschal Menezes and Fr Jerome Monteiro concelebrated.
