Chikmagalur, Balehonnur, May 2, 2024: Our Lady of Victories Church, Balehonnur, Diocese of Chikmagalur celebrated its Annual Feast today today at 10am.

Rev. Fr Bernard Prakash Barnis, Rector of St. Philomena's College, Diocese of Mysore, celebrated Holy Eucharist. Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District preached the homily. He based his homily on John 19:27-29 and on the Book of Ruth. Theme of the homily was "Mother Mary is the Queen of families".

After the Mass, Rev. Fr Madalai Muthu, Director of Mysore Diocesan Education Society blessed the candles and distributed them to the Samudaya's.

Parish Priest Rev. Fr Paul D'Souza thanked everyone who made the feast a success. He thanked and felicitated Silver Jubilarians Fr Bernard, Fr James Dominic from Mysore, Fr Franklin D'Souza, Fr Madalai Muthu.

On May 1st Evening 5pm Rev. Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Thirthahalli, Diocese of Shimoga celebrated the Holy Eucharist and Rev. Fr Barthalomeo Lancy D'Souza, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church, Newtown, Bhadravati, Diocese of Shimoga preached homily on "Call to holiness" based on the life story of Susanna. Parish Priest Rev. Fr Paul D'Souza together with his faithful honoured both silver Jubilarians at the end of the Holy Eucharist.

40 priests concelebrated the festal Holy Eucharist.
