On November 4th & 5th, 2013, CBCI Secretary for the Office for Youth, Fr. Franklin D’Souza preached two separate retreats for the Teenagers as well as Children at Jevan Jyothi Ashram – Retreat centre Burari, Delhi. Fr. Franklin started with question answer sessions. Teenagers had many questions regarding faith as well as relationship. Fr. Franklin answered the with help of the Word of God. Then he took a session on ‘Inner Healing’. He conducted inner healing adoration for the Teenagers. On 5th He preached on “Mother Mary and her role in salvation history”. He explained with the word of God, who Mother Mary is? He also spoke we Catholics adore only God. Then what are images and Saints? Then he offered the Holy Eucharist and preached on the ‘Holy Spirit who leads us to complete truth’. After the Holy Mass he conducted anointing adoration, he prayed over the teenagers. Special prayers were made during adoration for the Volunteers of Youth United for Christ.
For the children he took one session on 5th about ‘Prayer life of the children’
There were 60 teenagers and 120 children. This was the 18th Program of the year 2013 by Youth United for Christ. YU4C organised this program. Praise and worship was led by them. Even other preachers, Counselling and confessions were organised for the teenagers. It was a fruitful retreat in the year of faith.
