Shivamogga, January 6, 2024: Fr Franklin D’Souza, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District led the Second day's Novena Mass at Infant Jesus Church, Sharavathinagar, Shivamogga. Theme of the day was; "This is my beloved son with whom I am well pleased"(Mark 1:11).

At 5:30pm was the rosary. Then Deacon Antony Mevin pradeep led the Infant Jesus Novena. Mass began at 6pm. Fr Franklin D'Souza in his homily he spoke on the theme; "This is my beloved son with whom I am well pleased"(Mark 1:11). He said salvation is in Jesus. He explained with various biblical references about the redemption mission of Jesus and our response and responsibility towards our faith.

End the Mass Parish Priest Fr Biju thanked Fr Franklin D’Souza. He and parishioners congratulated Fr Franklin D’Souza on his Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee and honoured him.

Flag hoisting was done on January 4th. Annual feast will be celebrated on January 14th. Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga will offer the festal Holy Eucharist.
