July 31, 2023: Mrs. Nirmala, D group employee of Kannada Aided Higher School, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District retired after serving 32 years.

Farewell function was held at Assumption School Hall on July 31st 10:30am.

and Sr. Martha AEHPS were on the dais. Mrs. Nirmala's sister counselor Mrs. Madala Maria was present for the program.

Teacher Tanuja welcomed the dignitaries and invitees.

It was a very emotional Farewell where Mrs. Nirmala was attached to the institute for 32 years. Teacher Dayanand and Teacher Maltesh shared their experiences by saying that how Nirmala was motherly for all the students and staff in her service.

Fr Nelson D'Souza spoke about her commitment and dedication in her service. He also said that she perfectly resembles as her name says Nirmala means purity. She is a very pure in her service as well as her relationship with children, parents and elders.

Fr Franklin D’Souza in his talk appreciated her service. He said that she was like a mother for all of us. Her love for the School, Church and Priests is praise worthy. She never ever complained about anything in her service, instead she always served with joy. He thanked her on behalf of President of the School Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, SMSSS Director Fr Roshan Pinto and MCES secretary Fr Veeresh Moras. He asked everyone to pray for her and led a small blessing prayer.

Assumption Teachers and Students felicitated her.
