Chitradurga, Hiriyur, November 6, 2023 : Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga held Mission Sunday food festival and games on November 5th at the Church Premises. Children, Youth and Elders actively took part in the program.

Parish Priest Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on importance of Mission Sunday and how it helps the upliftment of the poor downtrodden on Sunday October 22nd as it was the Mission Sunday. That day's offering will be sent for the above purpose.

Religious Sisters, Parish Council members, Parish Finance Council members, ICYM, YCS, Legion of Mary Seniors and Juniors as well as Children organised the day in a meaningful way. Assistant Fr Alphonse Nelson D'Souza appreciated and encouraged the parishioners by taking active part in Mission Sunday activities.
